Write for us
Curious News Briefing welcomes thoughtful pitches from writers who can make a countryside subject clear, specific and rewarding for a general reader. Send proposals through the Contact page; a pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
Subjects we welcome
We are interested in pitches about landforms, field patterns, waterways, weather and the seasonal character of rural landscapes. A strong proposal finds a fresh question in a familiar feature and explains why a reader might want to understand it. We favour evergreen subjects that do not depend on breaking news or specialist advice.
What to include
Use the Contact page to tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main points the article would explain. Note the material you would draw on and any uncertainty, regional limits or relevant context. A brief writing sample or links to published work may help us understand your approach, but do not send confidential or sensitive information.
A good fit
We look for clear, original writing, a well-defined subject and a useful distinction between general explanation and claims that need local or specialist knowledge. Avoid unsupported sweeping statements, promotional pitches disguised as articles and proposals that require readers to check official or local rules before acting.
